2 Herein, the Commonwealth argues that the police officers warrantless entry was justifiable because it occurred during hot pursuit, was reasonable to prevent escape, and was supported by probable cause. Dommel contends that the suppression courts ruling should be upheld not only for the reasons stated by the court, but also because the officer was without legal authority to make a warrantless arrest on a misdemeanor offense occurring outside his presence. We reverse and remand for further proceedings.
